Medical Check-Up Bali Price Guide 2027 — Real Costs in IDR & USD

Medical
Check-Up Bali Prices: What You’ll Actually Pay (2027)

A medical check-up in Bali costs roughly IDR 1,500,000 to IDR
12,000,000 in 2027 — about USD 95 to USD 760 — depending on whether you
choose a basic, standard, comprehensive or executive-tier
package.
That range is a fraction of what the same screening
costs in Singapore, Australia or the United States, which is a large
part of why Bali has become a health-screening destination. This guide
breaks the numbers down by tier and by individual test so you can budget
accurately and recognise a fair quote. We publish prices to inform your
comparison; we don’t sell packages.

This is the canonical cost authority on the site — our cost-breakdown blog defers here.

A Note on These Numbers

Prices below are 2027 best-estimate ranges drawn from published
facility information and typical market rates, converted at an
approximate rate of IDR 15,800 to USD 1. Exchange rates move, packages
are repriced, and facilities differ — so treat these as a budgeting
tool, not a binding quote. We re-review the ranges every quarter and
date each update. For a guaranteed figure, have our concierge pull a current quote
from your chosen facility.

Cost by Package Tier

Package tier Typical IDR Typical USD Usually includes
Basic screening 1,500,000 – 3,000,000 95 – 190 Vitals, physical exam, complete blood count, blood sugar,
urinalysis, sometimes a chest X-ray or ECG
Standard / “full body” 3,000,000 – 6,000,000 190 – 380 Basic + lipid profile, liver & kidney function, ECG, chest
X-ray, often an abdominal ultrasound
Comprehensive 6,000,000 – 9,000,000 380 – 570 Standard + thyroid panel, tumour-marker bloods, treadmill stress
test, specialist consultation
Executive / premium 8,000,000 – 12,000,000+ 510 – 760+ Comprehensive + CT/MRI imaging, gender-specific screening
(Pap/mammogram/PSA), private suite

Where you fall in each band depends on the facility type — a hospital
generally sits at the top of a band, an established clinic toward the
middle, a smaller clinic at the lower end. We explain how to match a
tier to your needs in our how-to-choose
guide
and what each test actually does on our tests-explained page.

Cost by Individual Test

Building your own targeted check or curious what drives a package
price? Here are indicative per-test costs:

Test Typical IDR Typical USD
Complete blood count (CBC) 150,000 – 350,000 10 – 22
Blood glucose (fasting) 80,000 – 200,000 5 – 13
Lipid profile 250,000 – 500,000 16 – 32
Liver function panel 250,000 – 500,000 16 – 32
Kidney function panel 200,000 – 450,000 13 – 28
Thyroid panel (TSH/T3/T4) 400,000 – 900,000 25 – 57
Urinalysis 80,000 – 200,000 5 – 13
ECG 150,000 – 350,000 10 – 22
Chest X-ray 200,000 – 500,000 13 – 32
Abdominal ultrasound 400,000 – 1,000,000 25 – 63
Treadmill stress test 600,000 – 1,500,000 38 – 95
STD/STI panel 500,000 – 2,500,000 32 – 158
CT scan (region) 1,500,000 – 5,000,000 95 – 316
MRI (region) 2,500,000 – 7,000,000 158 – 443

Bundling almost always beats buying tests à la carte — packages exist
precisely because they’re cheaper than the sum of their parts. The
exception is when you only need one or two specific tests (say a blood panel or an STD screen), in which case targeted
ordering is cheaper.

What Makes One
Package Cost More Than Another

Four things drive price differences between facilities:

  1. Facility type and accreditation. Internationally
accredited hospitals (JCI) price higher than national-standard clinics,
reflecting equipment, processes and overheads. You’re partly paying for
verifiable safety — see our accreditation guide.
  2. Imaging depth. CT and MRI are the single biggest
cost escalators. An “executive” package is usually executive
    because it adds advanced imaging.
  3. Specialist consultation. A package that includes a
doctor sitting down to interpret your results costs more than
    tests-and-a-printout — and it’s worth it.
  4. International-patient service. Interpreter support,
online booking, English reporting and a private setting add cost but
    real convenience for overseas visitors.

Is the Cheapest Always
the Worst Value?

No — and that’s the point of comparing on value, not price. A
lower-cost standard package at an accredited, English-fluent clinic can
be far better value for a healthy traveller than an over-specified
executive package full of tests they don’t need. Equally, the cheapest
possible “check-up” can be poor value if it omits the doctor
consultation that makes a screening meaningful. Judge value as fair
price for the inclusions you actually need
— our comparison framework is built to do exactly
that.

Bali Pricing in Context

To anchor expectations: a comprehensive screening that runs IDR 6–9
million (USD 380–570) in Bali would commonly cost several times that in
Singapore or Australia for broadly comparable testing. That gap,
combined with strong English-language care and the new Sanur health
zone, is why Bali screening demand keeps rising. We compare destinations
honestly in our blog pieces on Bali vs
Singapore
and Bali vs Thailand
both of which, fairly, still point most readers back to Bali on
cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is
a full medical check-up in Bali in 2027?

A standard “full body” package typically runs IDR 3,000,000–6,000,000
(USD 190–380), while comprehensive and executive packages reach IDR
8,000,000–12,000,000+ (USD 510–760+). Basic screening starts around IDR
1,500,000 (USD 95). See the tier table
above.

Why is a
medical check-up so much cheaper in Bali?

Lower facility and labour costs mean Bali screening is often a
fraction of Singapore or Australian prices for comparable testing, while
accredited facilities maintain international standards. We compare
destinations in our Bali vs Singapore
piece.

Are these prices the
final amount I’ll pay?

They’re indicative ranges, not quotes — actual cost depends on the
facility, package and exchange rate. Always confirm with the facility,
or have our concierge get a live
quote
.

Is it
cheaper to bundle tests or buy them individually?

Bundling is almost always cheaper than buying tests à la carte,
unless you genuinely only need one or two specific tests. The per-test table above lets you
compare.

Does a higher price
mean a better check-up?

Not for most travellers. Price largely reflects imaging depth and
accreditation tier, not how useful the screening is for you. Match the
package to your needs using our how-to-choose
guide
