Medical
Check-Up in Bali: Compare Every Trusted Clinic & Hospital in One
Place
A medical check-up in Bali typically costs between IDR
1,500,000 and IDR 12,000,000 (roughly USD 95–760), takes two to four
hours at most international-standard clinics, and is available same-week
at facilities in Sanur, Denpasar, Kuta and Nusa Dua. This
independent guide compares those facilities side by side — on price,
accreditation, English-language care, test inclusions and turnaround —
so you can choose the right provider before you book. We are not a
clinic, we do not sell packages, and we take no payment. We compare, you
decide, and our concierge partner helps arrange it.
If you only have a minute: start with our side-by-side comparison of Bali check-up
providers, see the full
clinic and hospital directory, and check real numbers in the 2027 price guide. When you have decided,

Why a Trusted
Comparison Matters in Bali
Bali draws millions of long-stay visitors, expats and digital nomads
each year, and a growing number of them want a thorough health screening
while the cost is a fraction of what they would pay at home. The problem
is not a lack of options — it is the opposite. Denpasar alone has
multiple hospitals and a dozen private clinics offering “general
check-up” or “medical check-up (MCU)” packages, and almost none of them
present their prices, accreditation status, or English-language
capability in a way a foreign visitor can compare at a glance.
That gap is exactly why this site exists. As a Bali-based physician
who spent over a decade coordinating screenings for international
patients, I watched people make rushed, expensive decisions because no
one had laid out the facts neutrally. Here you will find facilities
ranked and rated on the things that actually matter to an overseas
patient: is the facility accredited, will the doctors speak
fluent English, how much will you genuinely pay, how long until you get
your results, and what is actually included in the package?
We update pricing every quarter and re-verify accreditation against
each hospital’s official records and the relevant Indonesian standards.
Where we cannot confirm a figure, we say so rather than guess.

What a Medical
Check-Up in Bali Usually Covers
Most “medical check-up” or “MCU” packages in Bali are tiered. A basic
screening covers vital signs, a physical exam, a complete blood count,
blood sugar, kidney and liver function, a urinalysis, a chest X-ray and
an ECG. Mid-tier and “executive” packages add lipid profiles, thyroid
panels, tumour-marker blood tests, abdominal ultrasound, treadmill
stress testing, and sometimes a consultation with a specialist. The most
comprehensive packages layer on CT or MRI imaging and gender-specific
screening such as a Pap smear, mammogram or prostate (PSA) test.
We explain every one of these in detail on the tests-explained page, including which tests
genuinely add value for a healthy traveller and which are optional. The
short version: more tests are not automatically better, and a good
package is matched to your age, history and reason for screening — not
to the biggest price tag.
Bali’s Check-Up Landscape, by
Area
Foreign patients tend to cluster their care in a few areas, and where
you stay shapes which facilities are convenient.
Sanur
and the new Bali International Hospital / KEK Sanur health zone
Sanur is now the centre of Bali’s medical-tourism push. The Sanur
Special Economic Zone (KEK Sanur) and the new Bali International
Hospital are purpose-built to attract international patients, with a
focus on diagnostics, screening and specialist care. For many overseas
visitors this is the most modern starting point. We map it in detail in
our directory and in our
guide to check-ups near Sanur
KEK.
Denpasar, Kuta, Legian and
Seminyak
The bulk of established international clinics and private hospitals
sit in and around Denpasar and the southern tourist belt. These
facilities have the longest track record with foreign patients and the
most consistent English-language service.
Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Ubud
Resort-area clinics and a small number of hospitals serve guests in
the south and the Ubud highlands. Options are fewer but can be more
convenient if you are based there for a longer stay.
How We Rank and Rate
Facilities
Every facility we feature is scored on five weighted factors, applied
identically across the directory:
- Accreditation and safety — independently verifiable
hospital standards (such as JCI or the Indonesian KARS scheme). - English-language care — whether doctors, not just
front desk, communicate fluently in English. - Price transparency and value — published pricing,
fair value for the inclusions, and no hidden add-ons. - Results turnaround — how quickly you receive a
clear, exportable report. - International-patient experience — interpreter
support, online booking, and willingness to share records.
You can read the full methodology and the resulting shortlist on the best medical check-up in Bali
page. Ratings reflect our independent assessment, not paid placement
— no clinic can buy a higher position.

same-day screening. Tell our concierge
which facility you want and we will check live availability.
